  LINATEX RUBBER

The Linatex Difference

Raw Natural Rubber, when vulcanized, exhibits an inherent strength, resilience and toughness that combine to provide excellent abrasion resistant performance, especially in slurry applications.

Where Linatex has the edge over our competitors is the unique qualities of our patented Linatex 'liquid phase compounding' process. This procedure enables the natural properties of raw rubber to be better preserved.

Linatex Rubber mimics the qualities of natural rubber more closely than conventional rubbers, by retaining the long molecular rubber chains inherent in natural rubber. Conventional processing methods break down these long molecular rubber chains to produce a product, which although still exhibiting good wear resistance, does not perform to its full potential.

Linatex has undeniably positioned itself as a market leader, proven by its acceptability as an international standard – look around! Wherever there is mining activity Linatex is sure to be there.

By imposing strict quality control measures and testing samples at every step of production, Linatex strives to be the longest lasting industrial wear solution and thereby the most cost effective.

Linatex is dedicated to working with you in developing solutions for your problems. The international network of Linatex comes together to ensure that you are met with the highest standards in production, technical development, customer service and distribution. There is no equivalent to Linatex.

Linatex Rubber Qualities

Linatex
A 95% Pure Natural Rubber manufactured from fresh field latex using a proprietary liquid phase compounding procedure. With a proven performance in slurry handling applications including pipelines, chutes and tank linings, hydro-cyclones and sumps. Linatex is also used in valve and pump linings, hoses, screen-cloths. Linatex is still ranked as the premium wear resistant rubber for fine slurry abrasion. There is no equivalent.

Linard 60
Linard 60 is a highly resilient silica reinforced hard rubber, which tackles difficult applications involving impact and abrasion where flexibility is important. Linard 60 is ideal for applications that require resistance to abrasion, chemical corrosion or cutting by sharp-edged particles. Its superior resilience minimises plugging and blinding when used in screening applications.

Linatrile
A Nitrile (NBR) based vulcanisate reinforced with silica fillers. Linatex has developed Linatrile as a specially blended rubber formulated specifically to give good abrasion resistance in the presence of oils and chemicals. Linatrile also exhibits excellent high temperature service and can be used up to 110°C (230°F) with suitable adhesives or where mechanical fixing is employed. Linatrile exhibits good resistance to abrasion, withstands aging and fatigue and has low permeability to gases. Linatrile is resistant and therefore perfect for mineral/vegetable oils, greases, aliphatic hydrocarbons and other chemicals.

Linard HD
Carbon Black and/or silica reinforced natural/synthetic rubber blend giving a 60 or 70 IRHD hardness. Linard HD has been formulated to withstand severe abrasion in dry or humid applications. Harder than Linatex, Linard HD provides superior protection to plant and machinery, guarding against premature failure and unscheduled maintenance. Recommended for heavy-duty applications such as screen decks and transfer points, where resistance to abrasion is required. In addition, Linard HD protects against chunking, cutting and slashing by sharp edged and heavy particles. Linard HD also performs in aqueous conditions involving course aggregates.

Linagard BB
Chemical containment is not just a question of vessel construction. Specifying the correct lining system is also critical to protect against the potentially devastating effects of corrosion. Linagard BB, a rubber with increased resistance to acids, alkalis and temperature is recommended where protection to acid or alkali and corrosion is required to prolong service life. Also for use in applications involving higher temperatures. Linagard BB has low gas permeability and good weathering resistance.

Linaplus OZL
Linaplus OZL has the added armour of anti-ozonant agents. The result is a rubber that offers excellent resistance to sliding or slurry abrasion in combination with a defence to prolonged sunlight exposure and high ozone concentrations. Manufactured with ISO 9001 requirements Linaplus OZL is suitable for use in a wide variety of industries where abrasion/corrosion resistance and good ozone/UV resistance is required. Linaplus OZL is resistant to most inorganic chemicals, has good vibration dampening and noise absorption properties as well as the benefits of low temperature flexibility.
