PTFE coated glass or Kevlar® belts are excellent substitutes for metallic belts which, even though they are mechanically very resistant, have the inconvenience of being heavy, costly, their energetic cost is very high due to the heat absorption during process, have unacceptable adherence problems for clean processes, etc.
