2016 - Merefsa on our 50th anniversary (1966-2016) We wanted to share our passion for the motor being this year 2016 Official Sponsor of the SAG Team (Stop&Go) Moto2 Speed Motorcycle World Championship with our beloved driver Luis Salom and the debut in Qatar could not be better.

The presentation of the new team led by Eduardo Perales has been a success with the debut in Qatar of the nice Mallorcan driver Luís Salom, who has won a fantastic 2nd place in the first test of the Moto2 2016 motorcycle World Championship The Commercial Bank Grand Prix of Qatar.

At the end of the race Luís Salom commented:

"I am very happy for the result and very happy for the step forward we have taken today in terms of performance. It has been a tough preseason, with two falls in Jerez and two others here in Qatar, one of them very strong, and confidence in the 2016 Kalex was not complete, but today's race has changed that. Our goal was to be in the top 8 and the last time I looked at the blackboard in the race I was going 7th, so it was already where it should be, but there were still many laps left, so I remained focused so as not to slow down.I placed 5th and in front of me, a little far away, I had Cortese and Corsi, so I tried to set a steady and high pace, I was rolling at 2'00 low and on the last lap I reached them. I cut Cortese in the second corner and prepared the rest of the way to overtake Corsi in the last corner and it went well. When I passed through the goal I saw my team celebrating the race but I did not know the position it had been in, so when I arrived at the closed park I saw that I had done second. It has been a great race, regardless of the sanctions of my rivals we have performed well so for Argentina we will be prepared. I want to thank the team for all the effort and trust they have placed in me, my family for always being there, my manager Marco, the sponsors and all my fans for the great support I always receive from them."

9th PLACE FOR LUIS SALOM IN THE RACE OF THE SPANISH GP IN JEREZ

"The truth is that I am not happy with the race, it has not been good, I have failed quite a bit at the beginning and I could not go fast, just at the key moment that would have placed us in good positions. For the WarmUP we have made a change in the motorcycle settings and for the race too and it has not worked well for me. I am responsible for what has happened since I have the last decision on how I want the bike to go on track so I am frustrated. Anyway we have added points, that is the positive, but I hope that for Le Mans we can be up in the classification."

IN THE GRAND PRIZE OF FRANCE LUIS SALOM (10th) REMUNDS A WEEKEND CONDITIONED BY AN EAR INFECTION

"I am very happy to have finished the French GP with a top 10, since the conditions that I arrived at Le Mans have not allowed me to be one hundred percent at any time. Before coming to France I was in the hospital for an infection in the inner and outer left ear, which caused the doctor to have to pierce my eardrum in order to fly. I have not been able to sleep well any of the nights so I came to each workout very tired. Anyway, out of respect for the sponsors and the team, who make a great effort so that every GP weekend we can compete, I wanted to go on track and do my best. The race has been fantastic as well as very complicated. The good thing is that from the beginning we have remained in the group that led the 9th in the classification and little by little I have been climbing positions until reaching 10th place in the absence of 4 laps. I had a tough battle with Schrötter, who went 9th, in which we played several times and that made me lose sight of the 7th and 8th, which I think would have reached. On the last lap I had to face Oliveira and Siméon, with the bad fortune that in the last chicane of the circuit I almost went to the ground, and to avoid it I was forced to skip it. I finished 9th but career direction has determined that I had to lose a position, a decision we respect. Now I hope to get to Mugello ready."
