Susanna Fritscher presents her new exhibition in the Patio of the Nantes Museum where she reimagines a new space in which the visitor interacts with the environment thanks to the materials and work of MEREFSA

Susanna Fritscher is an Austrian plastic artist who has earned the nickname of "the white lady" Due to its minimal use of color. His work aims to renew the perception of spaces through works that interact subtly with architecture. Invest in spaces and create labyrinths of immaculate and austere rooms whose inhabitants are glass panels, plexiglass or white film that explore the border between material and immaterial.

When the Nantes Museum of Art thought of someone to reimagine a space as representative as el Patio pfor the institution they thought of Susanna Fritscher. Through minimal and aerial interventions, the artist seeks the discovery or rediscovery by the visitor of this identity space of the museum. There, architecture and light offer an immersive framework in which the relationship with the viewer constitutes an element of tension.

That's when MEREFSA makes his appearance. Susanna Fritscher He was looking for the best materials and the best professionals so he contacted us through our French portal (www.merefsa.com/fr). I needed hundreds of kilometers of very fine silicone cord of platinum quality, the most translucent and the highest quality. Our professionals got down to work to fulfill the order: the cord should not be round but oval to give the desired effect of movement for "the white lady." Tailored tools were made, as usual and retouched until the result was optimal. The quality control was the most demanding since the profile was so small that the difficulty of keeping all sections in a regular way was enormous.

However, the greatest effort, apart from the design of the tooling and that the extrusion was within the established tolerances, was its packaging and transport. Susanna Fritscher he commissioned us the negligible amount of platinum silicone in the form of 400 km thread and our operators spent hours and more hours unraveling and winding the thread in manageable sections of 3,000 meters.

Conclusion: The exhibition Air, light and time, a work of art of which we are very proud to have been able to participate and contribute with our knowledge in the materials.
