Merefsa has approved its metal detectable sponge silicone for food contact, in compliance with Regulation EC 1935/2004 and
BfR Recommendation XV, following successful testing carried out by Intertek
.
With a density of 0.4 g/cm³, this sponge silicone is detectable on production lines using magnetic systems and X-ray inspection.
This ensures greater safety, traceability, and quality for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
